June Lake, California: Oh Ridge Campground, again… July 2016

We returned for the second year to the Oh Ridge Campground in June Lake, CA, for our annual camping trip with the Bartletts. Our trip to Oh Ridge last year was the last trip for us in our RV which was stolen from our storage the day after we got home.

Our New Pacific Coachworks Mighty Lite M18RBS Trailer – Remodeled!

We've taken a 10 month break from RVing, mostly due to our RV being stolen last July, right after our trip to June Lake. It was stolen from our storage lot and recovered months later in the middle of the desert in Palmdale, inoperable.

June Lake, California: Oh Ridge Campground

For our annual Summer camping trip with our friends and their families, we chose the Oh Ridge Campground in June Lake, CA. The other two families camped in tents on lots right next to us, so it was a nice setup to all be in the same area. The lake is a short 5 to 10 minute walk from camp, a very nice beach, but dogs are not allowed. The water is so clear, but still a little chilly to swim, but it is a very nice lake.

How to Tow a Jeep Wrangler

Ever since I started researching our first RV, I was also interested in towing a vehicle so we could get around once we reached our RV campground. The problem was that we already had a 2014 Subaru Forester in automatic and a 2013 BMW X1, both could not be flat towed.

Death Valley, California: Furnace Creek Resort RV Park & Campground

Lodging inside Death Valley is usually much more expensive than the outlying towns of Beatty and Pahrump, Nevada. On our previous trip to Death Valley we stayed in Beatty which was a bit of a drive to just get back into the park. We didn't have our RV back then, so there was no other inexpensive option.
